Ultimo Domingo / Last Sunday

Ola a você que esta orando pelo nosso ministério,

Hoje e o nosso ultimo Domingo na Granada, gostaria de pedir a você que ore para que Deus nos use poderosamente, tanto aqui no navio Logos Hope dentre as milhares de visitas que virão como nas varias equipes que sairão para igrejas e outras atividades evangelistas. Queremos ver almas resgatadas para o Reino. Entre varias atividades que teremos haverá uma partida de futebol contra um grupo de jovens e adultos, eles não conhecem a Cristo e nossa intenção e poder depois da partida compartilhar nossos testemunhos e convida-los para conhecerem o navio, para que assim possamos ter mais tempo para suas perguntas. Por favor orem conosco por isso. Estaremos aqui ate o dia 25 mas o dia 24 sera o ultimo dia que estaremos abertos ao publico. No dia 25 sairemos para a ilha de Tobago, chegaremos no dia 26. Estarei indo para um acampamento onde treinaremos quase 100 novos tripulantes, eles estão chegando em um momento muito crucial, já que estamos des do começo deste ministério com o numero muito reduzido de tripulantes, depois da chegada desse grupo sera a primeira vez que teremos completo o numero de tripulantes, sera algo novo e muito trabalho precisa ser feito para o treinamento desse contingente. Estarei 10 dias longe da familia, por favor orem por nos. Gostaria de pedir que também orem por nossa viagem a Tobago, já que o tempo por aqui e muito instável, nunca se sabe quando uma tempestade pode chegar. Muito obrigado por suas orações e participação.

Today is our last Sunday in Grenada, I would like to ask you to pray that God would use us mightily, both, here on the ship amongst the thousands that may come and in the many teams that will be going to several churches and other places for evangelism. We want to see souls rescued for the kingdom. One of the opportunities we will have is a football mach that will happen today against some local guys, they are not believers, our intention is after the match to share our testimonies with them, and invite them to come to the ship, which would give us more time to answer their questions. Please pray with us for it. We will be here until the 25th but the 24th is the last day we’ll be open to the public. We’ll arrive in Tobago on the 26th, I will go to a camp to help train almost 100 new recruits, they are arriving in a very crucial moment, we have been low in number for a very long time, this will be the very first time we will have a full capacity but that will also demand lots of work for us, we need to train all this guys before they can star working. Please pray for that, I will be away for 10 days, please pray for my family and for the voyage to Tobago, we never know when the next storm could come. Thanks for you participation.

Mais que Vencedores/ More than Conquerors

Romanos 8:37 Mas em todas estas coisas somos mais que vencedores, por aquele que nos amou.

Hoje pela manha nossos lideres fizeram um anuncio. Teremos que sair deste porto pois a maré esta muito forte e as ondas estão pondo em risco nosso navio e conseqüentemente nossa tripulação e visitantes. Teremos que sair para ancorarmos ou precisamos mudar de porto, o problema é que o porto que queremos é usado pelos cargueiros e a liderança do porto não quis nos ceder esse porto no começo, pois existem muitos cargueiros usando-o.
Depois desse anuncio nos oramos, oramos para que Deus acalmasse o mar ou nos concedesse favor perante as autoridades portuárias. Em menos de 20 minutos o capitão nos anunciou que o mar havia acalmado e que não sairíamos para ancorarmos, mas que ele ficaria mais tranqüilo com o novo porto pois ele é muito mais protegido. mais uma vez Deus nos respondeu, um nova anuncio foi feito em menos de meia hora depois do segundo anuncio. O piloto esta chegando para nos mover para o porto mais seguro. Glória a Deus, Deus é fiel, toda honra e glória a Ele. Somos mais que vencedores em Cristo. Com isso sabemos que estaremos abertos para o publico e so Deus sabe quantas pessoas serão tocada pelo poder de sua palavra. Orem conosco para que nosso últimos 2 dias aqui sejam de grande colheita para o reino.

Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
This morning our leaders made an announcement. We will have to leave this port and go to anchor, because the swell of the sea is too much and it is becoming dangerous for the ship, for us and for our guests. |We will have to move to anchor. But we would like to go to a berth that is much more protected, but the problem is that the port authorities did not want to give us this berth because the cargo ships use it frequently. We prayed and about 20 minutes after the announcement a new announcement was made, the sea got calmer and the captain decided to stay, but he would be more comfortable moving to the better port. About half hour later we heard another announcement, the pilot is coming to move us to the better berth. Praise the Lord, to Him all the glory, He is awesome. Please pray that our last 2 days here will produce a great harvest for His kingdom.

Crianças/Children

Uma das oportunidades que temos é de visitarmos orfanatos, as crianças são tão carentes nestes lugares. Temos a oportunidade de apresentar a cada uma dessas crianças um amigo que nunca os deixara, e que sempre os amara, Jesus pode e faz a diferença. "Salmos 27:10 Se meu pai e minha mãe me abandonarem, então o Senhor me acolherá. Isaías 49:15 pode uma mulher esquecer-se de seu filho de peito, de maneira que não se compadeça do filho do seu ventre? Mas ainda que esta se esquecesse, eu, todavia, não me esquecerei de ti." Minha esposa Maria passou todo o dia hoje em um orfanato, foi muito bom poder levar a palavra de Deus a essas crianças tão carentes.

One of the many opportunities that we have is to visit orphanages, the children are really needy there. We can present a friend that will never leave them that will always love them, Jesus can make a real difference. "Psalm 27:10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. Isaiah 49:15 "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!" My wife Maria spent most of the day in a orphanage, it was good to bring the good news to these needy children.

Venham a mim/ Come to me

Ontem tivemos em nossa livraria um grupo de umas 100 crianças, quando percebemos que eles estavam aqui sem nenhum programa, organizamos rapidamente uma mine conferencia para eles. Glória a Deus 53 deles receberam Jesus com seu Salvador. So Deus sabem quantos deles permanecerão na fe, ou quantos mais receberão a salvação, mais que alegria poder ver a luz do evangelho brilhar nesses olhinhos.

Yesterday we had a group of about 100 kids in our book fair, we quickly arranged a program for them, and praise be to God, 53 of them came to faith in Christ. Only God know how many will keep their faith or how many will come to faith, but what a pleasure to see the light of the gospel shining in their eyes.

Eventos/Events

Uma das ótimas oportunidades que temos durante nosso tempo no navio e levar a palavra de Deus com nossos talentos, e muitos de nos nem mesmo sabíamos que podíamos usar algo simples, como percussão ou dança para promover o evangelho.

One of the great opportunities we have here on the ship is to promote God's words via our gifts, and many of us did not know that we could use simple gifts like music and dance to bring forth the gospel.

Encontro de dois mundos/Meeting of two worlds

Para a maioria dos tripulantes vir a Grenada e viajar para muito longe, muito longe de suas casas. Mas não para Kelon Arnol que acaba de navegar para sua cidade natal. Ele e voluntário nos navios ha 3 anos e e responsável em manter o equipamento de combate a incêndio. A cerca de 1 ano Kelon estava em Grenada com o Logos II e então ele embarcou o Logos Hope. Ele foi convidado para ficar mais tempo e continuar sua importante função. " Estou emocionado! Quero falar para minha familia, amigos e mantenedores o que tenho feito aqui no novo navio," disse Kelon. " Quero estudar para me tornar um oficial enquanto sirvo a Deus." Ele espera poder continuar por pelo menos um ano mas ele precisa de sustento financeiro.

For most crewmembers coming to Grenada is going far, far away from their homes. But not for Kelon Arnold who just sailed in to his hometown. He has volunteered with OM Ships for the last three years and is responsible for maintaining Logos Hope's fire fighting equipment. About a year ago Kelon was in Grenada with Logos II and then he joined Logos Hope. He has been asked to stay longer on board to continue to fill the important role he has. "I'm excited! I want to tell my family, my friends and supporters what I have been doing here on this new ship," Kelon said."I want to become a Deck Officer while serving God." He hopes to be able to continue with the ship for at least one more year but needs financial support to do so.

Deus e tão maravilhoso, que linda oportunidade para comunicar o evangelho para as pessoas aqui no Caribe, eles estão abertos para a palavra, e um prazer poder compartilhar com eles.

God is so wonderful, what a beautiful opportunity to communicate the gospel to the Caribbean people, they are open to receive the word, it is a pleasure to share with them.

Ben-vindo a Granada/Welcome to Granada

Chegamos aqui na Granada, uma nova ilha no Caribe. O primeiro ministro da ilha veio declarar aberta a nossa livraria. ele recebeu das mãos do nosso capitão uma bíblia. Existem muita beleza natural, mas uma grande decadência espiritual. Chegamos na época do carnaval, e durante essa data e muito fácil perceber o domínio demoníaco sobre essa linda ilha. Oremos para que durante nossa estadia aqui que o Senhor da ceara liberte vários desses cativos.

We arrived here in Grenade, another island of the Caribbean. The prime minister came to officially open our book fair, he received from our captain's had a bible. There is great natural beauty, but also a spiritual depression. We arrived during the carnival season, during this time of the year can perceive the strong hold of our enemy over this beautiful island. Let us pray that the Lord of the harvest will set many captives free.

Oportunidades / Opportunities

Temos uma oportunidade único aqui no navio, podemos usar vários métodos para evangelizar. E muito bonito ver talentos e simples atividades nos proporcionando oportunidades para demonstrar o amor de Deus.

We have great opportunities here on the ship. It is so beautiful to see gifts and simple activities allowing us to share the Love of God.

Igreja Caribenha / Caribbean Church

Quero agradecer a Deus por nos haver dado a oportunidade de ministrar a igreja aqui em St. Vicente. Foi uma boa experiência, no final de semana passado fomos com a familia a uma ilha, tivemos 3 dias entre nos e também pudemos visitar uma igreja local, foi muito bom ter tido o privilegio de pregar para os irmãos caribenhos. Percebemos a carência da igreja no caribe, eles precisam de treinamento, a igreja e muito carente e existem pouquíssimos lideres. Oremos por eles.

We want to thank God for the opportunity to minister to a local church here in St. Vincent. It was a great experience, the last weekend we as a family could spent sometime together in a island here and at the same time we could visit a local church, what a privilege it was to preach for the Caribbean brothers. We also saw the great need of the church here, they need training and are in desperate need of leaders. Let us keep praying for them.

 

Novo Recorde/ New Record

Na Sexta feira, em St. Vicente e Granadinas no Logos Hope um novo recorde de visitantes em um unico dia foi quebrado, 4.882 pessoas visitaram o navio. Esse recorde foi seguido de um outro recorde, em uma hora 1789 pessoas nos visitaram no Domingo a noite. Para assegurar uma boa experiência para as pessoas que nos visitaram nossos tripulantes usaram varias métodos. Entre eles foram usados métodos como controlar o numero de pessoas permitidas no navio, grupos de no máximo 800 pessoas. Um dos nossos desafios foi poder interagir com cada pessoa, mas isso foi possível traves regulares programas em nosso teatro, pudemos usar dramas e usar a equipe de percussão no porto para entreter e levar o evangelho os nossos visitantes.   

 

On Friday, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines set a new record of attendance in one day for Logos Hope with 4,882 people coming to the Visitor Experience. This was followed by another first as 1,789 people came through the ship in a single hour on Sunday evening. To try and ensure that visitors had a good experience, the crew implemented various procedures through the weekend. These included letting people onto the ship in groups of a hundred and stopping entry whenever the maximum capacity of 800 people was reached. Another challenge was connecting with people personally during these busy times. This was done by bringing guests to the Hope Theater for regular programs, engaging people through dramas and also getting the percussion team on the quayside to entertain waiting visitors.

 

 

 

 

Band Of Brothers

Esse foi o primeiro grupo Band of Brothers, começamos esse projeto e agora ja estamos no terceiro grupo, Deus tem usado esse treinamento para solidificar esses homens em sua fe.

 

This is the first group of the Band of Brothers, now we are on the third one, God is using this program to solidify these men’s faith. 

 

Durante nossa viagem entre a Europa e o Caribe tivemos momentos marcantes no oceano, um deles foi nossa noite de lovor, estavamos no conves superior e louvamos nosso Rei olhando para su incrivel criacao. Durante essa viagem nossa comunidade foi realmente renovada.

During the voyage between Europ and the Caribbean we had very significat moments, one of them was our worship night, we were on our open deck praising our King and looking His creation. In this voyage our commuity was renewed.

What a great experience it was to once again cross the Atlantic, God is so Great.
